Totnes Petty Sessions

Thursday, 11th June 1896


Richard Stanley, 81, a gipsy, who did not appear on Monday, was yesterday brought up on a warrant before Messrs C. Barran, R. H. Watson, and Captain Conran, at Totnes charged with stealing clover grass value 6d, the property of Alfred Smeridge, farmer, of Kerswell, South Brent, on 4th May.

Prisoner admitted the offence, and P.C. Sprague having given evidence the Bench imposed a fine of £1 and £1 5s 7d costs
