Tiverton Divisional Sessions

Wednesday, 15th May 1895


Ellen Stanley, 60, and Richard Stanley, junr., 36, gipsies, of Plymouth, were summoned for encamping and allowing five horses to stray on the highway, and for lighting a fire near the highway, at Bickleigh. P.C. Richards proved the cases.

Defendants did not appear, but sent to say that if the Court would inform the Totnes police of the result of the case they would pay the money.

Each defendant was fined £1 inclusive.
