Saturday, 13th March 1852

Vandelo Stanley was fined £3 (including costs), for cutting branches of an oak, the property of the Duke of Richmond, which he paid.

He was then committed to hard labour for six weeks, for sleeping with his family in a tent on the roadside at Boxsgrove, and having articles in his possession of which he could give no account.
