Party Of Gipsies

Saturday, 21st September 1833

A large party of gipsies, with their horses, carts, and baggage, passed through Exeter on Monday last. The chief of the party went to the shop of a respectable silversmith in that city, and purchased a large and handsome silver teapot, promising when he passed next, to treat himself with a silver mug.

The same night a man was robbed and ill-treated on Stoke-hill by gipsies.
