On Monday last Henry Pearce alias Henry Proudly was committed to prison at Bath, charged with stealing two horses from Compton-Dando, Somerset; one of them belonging to Thomas Radford, and the other to Thomas Humphries, of that place. The horses were traced to the prisoner's possession at Devizes Green Fair, and he was apprehended in Bath on Saturday last.
Proudly is a native of the neighbourhood of Winchester; his first cousin, of the same name, was executed a short time since for horse stealing.
