Horses Recovered

Monday, 18th June 1827

Three more horses, being the remainder of those discovered through the information of Proudley, executed at our last Assizes, have this week been restored to the owners. The horses were stolen near Wimborne, Dorset, and sold to different person in the eastern part of this county, by Reuben Stanley, the father-in-law of Proudley, now confined in our gaol on various charges.

The crime of horse-stealing, we are sorry to observe, does not appear to have been diminished in this county, notwithstanding the awful example made after the last March Assizes.
